3. Cookies and local storage
The game and its presentation page do not use profiling, advertising or statistics cookies and do not include third-party tracking tools. The presentation page (/landing/) counts visits anonymously with our own system, to understand where visitors come from: which site or app the visit comes from (or the code in the link), phone or computer, operating system, browser language and time zone, time on the page, how far it is scrolled, sections read and buttons clicked. No cookies, nothing stored on the device, no IP address recorded, no identifier linking one visit to another or to you; legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); stored on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, European Union) for no longer than 24 months. Fonts are hosted on our own domain. To work, they save on your device some strictly necessary technical information (the browser's local storage / IndexedDB / cache):
the Firebase Authentication session token, which keeps you signed in;
your preferences (language, audio and music, view options) and having read the cookie notice;
your games and profile (without an account they never leave the browser; with an account they are also saved in the cloud, as described above);
a copy of the game files (service worker) for faster loading.
Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise, used only to protect sign-in, may use its own technical storage for the same security purpose. As this is technical storage essential to the service you requested, prior consent is not required (Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code; Art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC): an information notice is shown on the first visit. You can delete this data by clearing the site data in your browser settings.
4. Who receives the data
Your data is not sold or handed over to third parties for commercial purposes. It is processed by providers acting as processors on our behalf:
Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC — Firebase services (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Hosting, App Check) and reCAPTCHA Enterprise, to run the game, store its data and send the account emails (verification, password reset); Gmail, to send the purchase confirmation.
PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. (Luxembourg) and, inside the Android app, Google Commerce Limited (Google Play) process the payment of the Admiral Edition as independent controllers, under their own privacy notices: they tell us only the outcome, the amount, the transaction number and the country.
In online games some of your data (nickname, symbol, statistics, game data) is visible to the other participants: this is a necessary consequence of playing together, not a transfer to third parties.
5. Transfers outside the European Union
The game's server functions run in the European Union (Belgium, europe-west1). Some Google services may process data in the United States: the transfer is based on the European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 (EU–US Data Privacy Framework), to which Google LLC adheres, supplemented by Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How we protect the data
All communications use an encrypted HTTPS/TLS connection.
The database rules are default-deny: the client cannot write anything directly; every change goes through protected server functions, and each user can only read their own private data.
In battles, simultaneous orders stay hidden from the opponent until they are resolved.
7. Your rights
You can exercise at any time the rights in Articles 15-22 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability.
Unsubscribing and deleting the account. We send no newsletters: the only emails are the account ones, so unsubscribing means deleting the account. You can do it yourself from the game, with the «Your data» link at the bottom of the main menu and of the sign-in screen, or from Profile → Unsubscribe and delete data. The same window also lets you delete the data saved on your device (offline games, local profile and statistics, preferences), even without an account.
Account deletion is immediate and final: it removes the public profile, the private data and the sign-in account. Your nickname and identifier remain in the history of the online games you took part in until those games are deleted (automatically after 30 days of inactivity). Alternatively, write to thebiondosbrain@gmail.com and we will act within one month (Art. 12.3 GDPR).
If you believe the processing breaches the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it) or with the authority of your country of residence.
8. Automated decisions and profiling
We do not carry out profiling or automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects. The Elo rating only measures game results.
9. Minors
The online account is not intended for people under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
Any changes will be published on this page with a new version number and date.

3. Cookie e archiviazione locale
il token di sessione di Firebase Authentication, che ti mantiene connesso;
le tue preferenze (lingua, audio e musica, opzioni di visualizzazione) e l'avvenuta lettura dell'avviso sui cookie;
le partite e il profilo (senza account non lasciano mai il browser; con l'account si salvano anche nel cloud, come descritto sopra);
4. A chi comunichiamo i dati
6. Come proteggiamo i dati
7. I tuoi diritti
Puoi esercitare in qualsiasi momento i diritti degli articoli 15-22 GDPR: accesso, rettifica, cancellazione, limitazione, opposizione, portabilità.
Disiscrizione e cancellazione dell'account.
12.3 GDPR).
